Jihye + Vinny | Denman Estate Park | San Antonio, TX Engagement
I met up with Jihye & Vinny out at the BEAUTIFUL Denman Estate Park in San Antonio. It was my first time there and I was blown away by the beauty tucked away so close to a major Interstate. They'll be getting married this October and I cannot wait to be there to celebrate with them!
Jihye & Vinny met back in 2009 from a mutual friend, he got her phone number from him and he asked her on a date that night! In 2013, he proposed to her and hid his tips from her so that he could surprise her with a proposal! Which I think is the sweetest thing for a couple with a joint bank account to do. Jihye picked Denman Estate Park because they used to go on picnics there frequently, and being from South Korea it had a little piece of home there. (If you haven't seen the beautiful structures that are there, you seriously need to take a look because it's all so stunning.) These two will be going to an island in South Korea for their honeymoon!
When I asked her what she's most excited about when it comes to her wedding day this is what she said!
"I think we're most excited about finally getting married in general because we've been waiting for this day for so long! By the time we get married, we will have been together for over 9 years and have been engaged for about 5! So we're just excited it's finally happening!"
When we were planning their engagement session, Jihye let me know up front about some of the ideas she had. Which I love because it allows me to really get to know my clients and incorporate their personality and interests into their sessions. In this case, these two wanted to involve their love for Whataburger and all I could think was "These are my kind of people."
Here is a little blurb about what Jihye had to say about her experience with J. Sparks Photography.
"I loved that she listened to our ideas and helped s bring them to life. She also came prepared with so many ideas of her own so the entire photoshoot seemed to fly by. My fiance doesn't like taking photos and started the session a bit shy at first but Janni made us feel so comfortable and we had a lot of fun!"
